First Post

I decided that it was time to start a blog so that I could share a piece of our life with my family and friends. It may not always be Delightful but it's our life and it's filled with the people I love the most. I hope to be able to update weekly or at least monthly. In a way my goal for this blog is to be a type of journal so that I can remember my kids as they grow. I hope that you Will find my posts both informative and entreating, but keep in mind I am an amature to the whole blogging scene!
Here is an update of who we are and what we've been up to.... Devin
Turned Three on September 10Th! I call him my little Scientist because he is always asking questions followed with lots of "why." Then later he'll share his interpretation of the story and it's pretty close to what was said (and this could be days past) For Example he now knows that water makes him pee. Oh and he is finally potty trained and will run to the bathroom by himself and doesn't want anyone in there until he is done then he wants to show you his pee. He is finally adjusting to being the big brother and is not so whinny. He is starting to like it when Katelyn laughs at him instead of saying "Tatelyn stop looking at me" and "I hate it when she laughs at me. He loves getting his picture taken and often wants his picture taken with Katelyn or drinking his juice. His Grandpa Delight has turned him into a little cowboy! Now everywhere we go Devin has to where his boots and talks about "his horse" Opi and how he can ride him when he's bigger. He also enjoys helping his Dad and even knows how to work a screwdriver in fact he took his own training wheels off and then was able to put them back on!

Katelyn
Is 6 months going on 7 months on the 7Th. She is such a little doll. For the most part always happy unless some one besides Mom or Dad is holding her. She is shy around other people, but at times will still flash them a smile. She can roll over from her back to her tummy, but seems to have forgotten how to roll off her belly (so I've been trying to help her any ideas?) She tolerates being on her belly a Little bit longer but when she is sick of that position she kicks her legs and starts to get upset. She most recently began making Dada sounds and likes to give "raspberries." She also can sit unsupported if she is engrossed in a toy and doesn't realize that your not supporting her. She loves Sage our dog and always reaches out to her in hopes to pet or to have Sage lick her. Sage was the first one that was able to make her laugh . She also adores Devin and is always smiling and laughing at him.

Jason
is an amazing Dad, who is very active! He works with his brothers for their family business as a finish carpenter, is very much into fitness and eating healthy he is a triathlete and does a lot of XTerra races (off road extreme triathlons) This summer he did 5 Xterra races, a couple road triathelons, ran the Bare guttsman and a race called "Up And Over" which he took first! (he usually takes second or third in his age group for the Xterra) So yes he is in amazing shape!!! He trains and works out once a day if not twice a day doing one or more of these activities swimming, running biking or lifting weights. He also enjoys rock climbing, trail running and hiking. He spends a lot with us as well taking us camping, teaching Devin how to ride his bike, going on family hikes, snuggling and playing with Katelyn. He has made us and the kids some beautiful furniture. I could go on and on about how wonderful my husband is, but I hate to sound like I'm bragging I just love him so much and am so grateful for all that he does for us.
Crystal
I am a full time Mom, who before children worked as a Cosmetologist Instructor at Fran Brown college of Beauty. I currently work very partime doing my friends and families hair in my salon downstairs that Jason built for me. Lately my days have flown by, I enjoy playing with my children, going for walks or hikes and reading when I get the chance. I absolutely love being a Mom and though some days Devin is a complete terror and Katelyn takes only short naps, It's the moments that Devin says that he loves me and wants to give me a hug and kiss and the moments when I see his face light up with joy and when Katelyn smiles and looks at me with those trusting eyes that makes even the worst days seem to disappear.
