Hair Cuts For All!

On July 20, I Decided that poor little Devin was getting cooked under all that hair. (every time he came in from playing outside his nape was always sweaty) So it was time to get a mid summer cut. I didn't want to buzz it, I thought that would be too Drastic so this is what I did......

Devin before

He, Jason and I loved his shag but agreed that shorter hair would be much cooler and that we could always grow it out in the fall

Ta Dah!!!!!

Devin After

I clipped the sides and the back to a 1/2 inch and cut the top to 2 inches leaving the bangs slightly longer and then blended the sides and top together.

Though with his cute smile he can pull anything off I still am a huge fan of the shag and think it just fits his personality. Sorry Mom and Nana he might be growing his hair out yet again in the fall, but for now he can enjoy a much cooler summer!

Katelyn Before

Now for sweet little Katelyn I have always dreamed of her having long beautiful hair so my goal was to only trim the ends to keep her hair healthy and just let the bangs grow to be the same length. Well after she decided to rip out everything that I put in her hair including rubber bands. I decided that I had to cut them and that it was probably cruel to let her run around like this.

Katelyn After
I notched the bangs so they would be soft and wispy. I also trimmed the back so it was more of a clean A-line (funny her hair grew naturally in an A-line) I am so happy with how they turned out though I might need to cut them a little shorter. At least they are out of her eyes!

Me Before

I always do this to myself lately... I let my hair go for too long without cutting or coloring it, until I start feeling major blah and needing a big change! So contrary to the days when I worked in a Salon and got my hair touched up every six weeks.

Me After

I absolutely Love how Jason's Aunt cut and colored my hair!
I now feel like myself again! Thanks Elvera!

I also cut Jason's hair more so a trim and I forgot to take a before and after pic. I need to cut his bangs shorter now so maybe I'll do the pics then.

hiking at snowbasin

On Sunday We went on a hike to Snow Basin and had a picnic (sorry no photos of the picnic area the flies were driving me nuts so we ate quick and continued our hike) We had so much fun! and though it was midday because of the trees it wasn't too hot.
Ever sense Devin learned how to ride his bike without training wheels he has been wanting to go mountain biking so we let him ride to the picnic area. After eating he helped hide the bike then we hiked up the trail a little then we went back to get it and he rode down the rest of the trail and to the car.

He did so amazing though it was a little tough getting up some of the bigger hills (His Daddy helped push him up and later Devin learned he could hop off and walk the bike) He did awesome going down. He knew when to use his brakes and even dodged rocks. Jason and I were so amazed!

Katelyn loved riding on her Daddy's back! Until she decided that she wanted me to carry her then she was like a siren in Jason's ears! until I got her out and carried her down the rest. (still a Mommy's girl!)
